In a shade of blue
Stands
Beside
Her only possessions
Contained
In this
Lovely
Calming tone
Ocean blue
Tear stained
Goodbyes
His reassuring arms
Barely supporting
She could
Fall
In no time
At all
The mighty waves
Would take her
Looking
Far away
She can still see
Watching
As the familiar view
Disappears…
The place she treasures
Priceless memories
Begin
To fade
Rarely
Carefree again
Her smile
Now fuelled
By cobwebs in the corners
He’ll watch her sleep
Almost
Every night
Waiting
For a fleeting
Glimpse
Of that smile
Trapped
In the same
Dream
Believing
If only for an instant

Thank You! And yeah….I keep trying to walk that fine line between being present and staying tuned in to everything going on so I can make what I believe to be educated decisions….but man! It can be difficult not to get caught up! 2020 is a very good/harsh teacher! 😅 And no worries!
